Pure Barre
Tiny movements and endless transformation. Pure Barre is my most favorite type of exercise. What is it exactly? A mixture of ballet, yoga, and palates. High intensity movements that work on specific muscles. Every time you enter the Barre studio you feel an instant surge of energy and motivation to better yourself. The instructors do an amazing job teaching and pushing individuals to KEEP GOING. I love it so much because every "work out" doesn't even feel like a work out. The music, the movements, and the results is what keeps me so addicted. I can't stop going.

You start to see results after about 10 classes... consistency is key. Going 2-3 times a week will do wonders for your body as well as eating healthy and treating your body correctly! I love finding / creating new recipes that are not only great tasting but great for your body!
Barre is less than an hour of your day and within that hour you achieve a full body strength training, mixed with balance, and and stretching. You start with the warm up which for me is one of my least favorites because it involves a 90 second plank, yes you read that right.. 90 fricken seconds. After warm up you move to arms, then thighs, then hips and seat (lower back and bottom), then to abs. You will become very fond of "what the tuck?"
What to wear?
MAKE SURE TO WEAR STICKY SOCKS!!!!
Leggings (NEVER wear shorts!), tank top so you won't over heat, and sticky socks!! They have some for you to purchase at your local Pure Barre studio!
Through out your first barre experience and probably many after that you will have multiple thoughts of "What did I get myself into", "Why am I doing this", "I don't think my moves like that", "Is this supposed to hurt?".... and maybe a few colorful words along the way, but just keep going. IT'S SOOO WORTH IT!!
I really hope you choose to try at least one class! I would really love to know how your first Barre experience goes!!
